The aim of the ZooGuide Szeged app is to provide visitors to the Szeged Zoo with wide range information via mobile phones. In the app, there are detailed descriptions, daily current information on the animals, the available services, the history of the park and accessibility data.
By the help of pictograms displayed on the map in the app, users can find their way around easily; by touching the animal photos, they can launch the ‘audio guide’ function. The audio files and the animal descriptions of the virtual tour are available also in several languages (Hungarian, English, German, Spanish and Russian). The QR-code notice boards displayed in the Szeged Zoo help the easy access to the recorded information and audio files of animals. The users can share the animal descriptions and the sites of the application on their social networking sites, and can recommend them in an SMS or an email to their friends.
The Szeged Zoo RSS news service as well as the event calendar functions also offer daily current information for visitors (e.g. programme offers, times of animal feeding, other actions).
